Wine tasting at Volognano Castle

Among the wineries in our area, it is certainly worth doing a tasting at the Volognano Castle, an ancient residence whose origins date back to the 11th century.
Located on a hill in a dominant position and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the castle offers various types of experiences.
If you then feel like traveling a few kilometres, entering the heart of Chianti you will find a myriad of tasting options, from small family-run wineries to the large labels of the castles scattered throughout the area. To help you orient yourself, we have divided some proposals based on their geographical position:
Gaiole in Chianti area: Badia a Coltibuono, Brolio Castle, Ama Castle and Meleto Castle
We've selected for you "A Taste of Tuscany: Wine and Olive Oil": available upon request, every day from Monday to Saturday for just €30.00 per person. You'll have the opportunity to visit the castle village and the winery. You'll be shown the various production techniques, followed by a tasting of four wines and extra virgin olive oil. Before purchasing the voucher, please contact the property at experience@volognano.com or call +39 055 8303125 to check the availability.

Built in 2012, with its futuristic design but expertly integrated into the surrounding nature, it has acquired international fame in a very short time, so much so that in 2022 it was elected Best Winery in the world by World’s Best Vineyards magazine.
We don’t know if it really is the best in the world but it will certainly allow you to live a one-of-akind wine experience.
