Bees are a symbol of wealth and industriousness and are fundamental for the
role they play in the ecosystem. With this experience you will enter the curious
world of these social insects: on Monday morning with the beekeeper Michele,
you will be able to observe a hive and see the workers busy taking care of it.
You will
learn to distinguish the queen, the honey bee, the pollen bee or the swarm bee.
You will be able to enjoy the experience in total safety, thanks to the glass
structure that separates the hive from the spectator. This is also the most
respectful way to approaching insects which, remaining free to fly, recognize
the smell of their beekeeper and are not frightened during the interaction.
The
discovery of the world of bees also passes through the honey extraction phase,
and then concludes with a moment of tasting: savoring the honey directly from
the honeycomb is a unique experience, which is followed by the tasting of the
different types of honey produced in Palagina.
