Horseback riding in the Tuscan countryside

The Crazy Horse Ranch was born from the dream of two brothers, Vieri and Elisa, and their unconditional love for all animals. Their riding school takes care of many activities including the teaching of equestrian discipline and the organization of horseback riding which is precisely the experience we want to offer you on this page.

Upon arrival at the ranch, an expert guide will provide information about the horses and basic safety.
No problem if you are a beginner! The horses are suitable for everyone and you will be given time to familiarize yourself with them before setting off. Depending on the weather conditions, the guide will take you along one of the numerous trails around the ranch.
You will cross the typical Tuscan countryside passing among vineyards, olive groves, cultivated fields and farmhouses. The ride costs € 60.00 per person and lasts about an hour and a half, including the time for initial preparation and the return to the ranch while still remaining in the saddle. 

Horseback riding followed by a visit to the cellars and wine tasting

This excursion has the same characteristics as the one just described but will end with a tasting experience at Torre a Cona Wine estate, which you will reach in a few minutes aboard a van once the horseback ride is finished. Once at the facility, a guided tour of the small museum and the cellars of the estate will begin, during which the production process will be illustrated, from the vine to the bottle.
Everything will end inside the ancient granary, with the tasting of four wines of their production accompanied by a plate of local cheeses. At the end you will be taken back to the ranch by van. The experience lasts approximately three hours (of which one and a half in the saddle) and has a total cost of € 135.00 per person.

The activities take place at a slow pace (no trot, canter or gallop) and are suitable for beginners as well

- On each tour there will be at least one expert guide who will assist you for all the duration of the ride
- Before assembling you will be provided with a helmet whose use will be mandatory
- Upon arrival you will be asked to fill in a form for insurance coverage (included in the price)
- It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes, preferably long trousers and closed shoes
- To participate, a minimum age of 14 years and a body weight of no more than 100 kg is required

The excursions are not exclusive, a maximum of 8 people per group can participate. However, it is possible to book a private excursion by paying a supplement.
